Julie Russell PA & Home Services:

A little bit about me. You may wonder, what is my experience?

For the vast majority of my career, during which I have been a company director, I have supported and cared for people that need that extra pair of helping hands. It could be older people that do not have close friends and family around to help. It may be helping those with learning disabilities, stimulating and interacting with people with dementia, or assisting people with physical and/or mental health disabilities. At the end of the day, it’s all about the individual, helping and encouraging them to continue to achieve their wishes whilst offering peace of mind.

It’s most emphatically not a chore; it’s fun, exciting and challenging to help others live life to their full potential. I’m grateful to my previous employers not only for the training, knowledge and experience that I have acquired but for their incredible support and recommendations to just go for it! I am equally grateful to my former work colleagues for their good humour and support of my new endeavour.

Whilst rafts of supporting documentation are not essential, people can be comforted by the fact that I can document my formal training and my security clearance.

I have an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) security clearance, Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance and hold NVQ2 levels in Food and Hygiene, Emergency First Aid, Data Protection, Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults, General Health & Safety, Manual Handling and Equality & Diversity. I am also a Dementia Friend.
